Whist reviewing my 360 achievements with scotii1982 an interesting issue was highlighted in reference to my age.
Take a look at the date top right. If I have done the maths right that makes me at least 255 years old.
Now where did I put the keys to the delorean.
But seriously this seems to be a major glitch on behalf of the 360 as I am not alone in my aged plight.
Some say this can be explained as:
A simple glitch in the SQL Server whereby that’s the earliest possible date it can show. It means that you gained the achievement while you were not connected to XBox Live. Nothing more.
Simple glitch eh, Ill remember that one. I’m sure it will go down real well in a project meeting. Anyhoo, why 1753 you may ask, some state it may be due to historical events:
You might know that there had been two calendar types; Julian and Gregorian. When the people who used Julian decided move to Gregorian, they had to skip couple of days (10 to 14 days).
This happened around 1752, resulting in dates earlier than 1753 differing from country to country and thus by consequence in order maintain the different procedures for different countries (or cultures) if a system needs to support them a SQL Server treats 01/01/1753 as the earliest date.
Is it TRUE or FALSE truly I don’t know but it sounds feasible.
