Brian Peek has released yet another update to the excellent WiimoteLib:

I’m really cranking out the releases these days. Today I have released WiimoteLib v1.5 at CodePlex. The big news is that the Wii Fit Balance Board is now supported. The balance board is simply a very heavy piece of plastic with 4 weight sensors located at the corners. The library reads those individual sensors to determine how much weight is applied to each sensor, and the total weight applied to the entire board. You can use it as an impromptu (and very expensive) scale.

Its been less than a fortnight and wiimotemods has had another face lift. For those not in the know:

Wiimotemods hosts tutorials and guides for Nintendo enthusiasts looking to personalize their wiimote.

It seems wiimotemods have finally opted to ditch the blogging style in favor of a more in house content defined presentation.

On the whole this is good thing, but personally I find it a shame (I’m just being selfish) , as I used the site as a primary point of contact into the world of wiimote modding.

But hey ho thats progress and the site is still one of the best of its ilk. Now featured directly from the main page wiimotemods Modding Guides include:

Player Indicator - Guide describing how to change the player indicator LEDs to match Nintendo’s color scheme.

Easy A Backlight -Guide describing how to easily install a single LED to backlight the A button on the wiimote.

Wiimote Repair -If you’ve modded your wiimote and now it doesn’t work, this article may help you fix it.

Multicolour A Backlight -This guide describes the multicolour version of installing a backlight for the wiimote’s A button.

Smart A Worklog - A worklog detailing the steps to creating the Smart A mod.

Smart A Install -A companion install guide for the Smart A worklog.

LED Rumble – A mod to install a LED that flashes whenever the wiimote rumbles.

Nunchuck LED – Enhances your nunchuck attachment with a backlight.

SMD LED Removal -A primer for those who have never worked with SMD (surface mount) components before.

I have archived an image of the current site here for prosperity.
